Case Study: Westhill Family Home

Scandinavian Style Wood Burner for a Contemporary Family Home

The owners of this striking new-build home set out to blend Scandinavian design with their love of contemporary art and they needed a fireplace that could hold its own, both visually and practically. Working closely with Scottish interior designers, BoConcept, we incorporated our Firebob stove in the Westhill Family Home— a sleek, freestanding fire that complements minimalist interiors while packing serious heat performance.

Modern living room with vaulted ceilings at the Westhill Family Home, with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a suspended black wood-burning stove, the FireBob by Firemaker. The room features a grey sofa, round glass coffee table, beige ottoman, and a bold red Persian-style rug, creating a warm yet contemporary atmosphere.

Modern Wood Stove Installation with Lasting Impact

Positioned in the heart of the family’s open-plan living space, the FireBob anchors the room with a soft industrial edge. Set on a clean, neutral hearth and framed by calm textures and tonal layers selected by BoConcept’s interior designers, the stove brings warmth and visual balance to a carefully curated space.

With floor-to-ceiling windows, the FireBob offers a secondary focal point. Its generous flame view adding both ambience and comfort, even on the coldest Scottish mornings.

The FireBob stove in Westhill Family Home installation is a great example of how a carefully selected wood stove can become a true centrepiece, both functionally and visually. It becomes part of the architecture, the mood, and the everyday life of the home.

The seating area includes modern neutral-toned sofas, a circular glass coffee table, and a traditional red rug. A wall-mounted TV and low built-in media unit complete the scene.
