Installing Your Firebob
Once you’ve made your order with us and we’ve crafted your FireBob, the next step is to install your new fixture.
Find an InstallerWe work closely with a selection of approved local fitters, and we are always happy to contact them on your behalf to arrange an installation date that suits you. Alternatively, take a look at our recommended local installers on the map, and contact them directly.
Installation
The Firebob can be installed by any competent person provided it is installed in-line with local building regulations. In the UK, any installation will need to be signed-off by your local building control or certified heating engineer.
You can search our list installers, but please let us know if you need any help finding an installer.
Installing your fire as part of a new build property or home extension?
We are happy to liaise with your architect or contractor to make incorporating the Firebob into your build a smooth process. We have technical drawings and CAD data which may prove useful at the building design stage.

Watch our installation video
Take a look at our installation video for a clearer idea of the process.
In our tutorial, you’ll see the FireBob is being installed on a pitched ceiling,
but the same method applies to flat ceilings.
Fixing brackets to suit your ceiling
When you order your FireBob, we will ask you for some specific measurements for the space that the fire will be installed in. This way, we will be able to provide a flue and fixing bracket that is custom-made to suit your ceiling.
We can send you the ceiling fixing bracket prior to delivery of the fire so that this can be installed whist any roof or ceiling construction is happening on your build.
Choosing a tradesperson or fitter
We’re extremely well connected in terms of the local installers that we are partnered with, take a look at our recommended local installers on the map using the link below. If you find your own installer then feel free to put them in touch with us so we can help guide them through the process if required.
How long do installations take?
Fitting is typically done in two visits. The first visit to install the ceiling fixing bracket and external flue and roof flashing. The second visit to attach the Firebob and internal flue up to the fixing bracket.
It can all be done in one installer visit but we usually recommend fitting the ceiling bracket first, and then you can give us a dimension from the bracket down to the floor, so that we can then be sure to make the correct length internal flue before sending that to you.
